[HOLLY] Late 20’s, this very attractive woman at the bar clearly hits it off with Ted as they chat. Sweet, genuine, and charming, Holly isn’t at all bothered by the fact that Ted called her right after they met (as opposed to waiting the obligatory three days), and finds it very romantic. However, on one of her first dates with him she scares him off by doing the exact things he usually does prematurely: mentioning marriage, talking about travelling together, and saying “I love you”…GUEST STAR (1)
[STAN] Large and kind of scary looking, Stan is a part-time security guard who works nights and who bumps into Marshall and Barney at MacLaren’s and helps them with their “romantic” fake texts to Ted. Simultaneously down to earth and poetic, Stan makes some outstanding suggestions for some really evocative lines, prompting Marshall to describe him as “one part wise sage, one part old school romantic” and moving both Barney and Marshall almost to tears. They get a bit obsessed with him, but it’s Robin who actually goes out with him…GUEST STAR (25)
