Season 4
Another surprise which awaits us in the upcoming episodes of How I Met Your Mother is the return of Alan Thicke, the man who played Robin’s father in the episode ‘Sandcastles in the Sand’ in the Season Three. He will be seen in the episode named ‘The Rough Patch’ to be aired on Nov, 9. In this episode Lily will approach him for his help to break up Robin and Barney’s relation.
